Yes, another birthday, only this one is mine. Today marks 61 years - yikes! My grandmother was 61 when I was a freshman in high school - and she seemed REALLY old.
And today I retired from desktop publishing the parish Sunday bulletin - after 14 years I decided I had enough of the weekly deadlines. What a relief! Now all I have to worry about is raising money for the parish grade school, putting together promotional brochures for the grade school, getting out press releases to the local media about the grade school, editing the monthly grade school newsletter, and re-creating a 20 year data base of alumni and donors that was lost in a freaky server crash. Hmmmm....maybe I should have retired from this job instead.

It sounds like retiring from both would be a good idea...you need some time to enjoy the aging process!! Before you know it will be over! Yikkkkes.....
ReplyDeleteThat's what I keep telling my mom but then again she still looks like she's 40! But then I remembered she still has kids in school!! Oh well eventually we'll all be grown up and then one of you will be retired by then
